Bio

It’s been an interesting journey that has brought me to this intersection of Web Development and Graphic Design.

Ever since playing with clip art on the family computer in 1986, I have been fascinated with layout, design and computers. Soon enough I graduated from MS Paint to Photoshop and fell in love with layout, logo and symbol design. While learning to play bass in high school may have appeared to diverted my passions, I soon realized bands require a lot of graphic design; t-shirts, stickers, album covers and more.

In time I’d come to realize just how intrinsic design is to all arenas of my life. This lead me to pursue design more professionally by working on everything from fashion to gaming. Around the same time as I started poking around on the family computer, my brother got me hooked into classic dice and paper role playing games. Fast forward almost thirty years where he and I have been involved in the games industry for over fifteen of those years.

So when the time came for a new challenge, an entirely new path was laid before me. A good friend had recently graduated from General Assembly’s Web Development Immersive program. Between my design experience and my years working at Apple as a Mac Genius, Web Development was a perfect match.

PS: Yes, my middle name is actually "Brain". It's amazing what a typo on your birth certificate can accomplish
